SNG appoints Vistry to deliver 575 homes at Merrick Place in Southall

SNG has selected Countryside Partnerships (part of Vistry Group) as the main contactor to build and deliver 575 new homes and commercial units at Merrick Place in Southall in a £157 million deal.

Designed by architect Cartwright Pickard, the Merrick Place scheme is located within a former light industrial site, next to Southall railway station. Of the final development, SNG retaining the 100% affordable 22-storey building that will house 42 homes for London Affordable Rent and 132 for Shared Ownership. The buildings will be between 15 and 23-storeys and the scheme will be a car-free zone, featuring 926 designated spaces for bicycle parking and two dedicated servicing bays, located on Merrick Road.

The wider development will also deliver 2,100 sqm of office space and 318 sqm of flexible commercial space which will provide options for local businesses and create employment opportunities. Communal gardens and public realm space will be created on the Merrick Road frontage and landscaping, play and amenity space areas will be provided within the site.

Together these two projects will deliver over 1,100 high quality new homes in Northwest London.”
