SNG and Greystar colleagues pose with brick on development site for Golden Brick ceremony

SNG and Greystar lay ‘golden’ brick at Stratford development delivering 42 affordable homes

SNG and Greystar have laid the ‘golden brick’ on a six storey building which will provide 42 affordable homes in Stratford in the London Borough of Newham. A small ceremony was held at the construction site on Marshgate Lane on Wednesday 26 February where colleagues from the two organisations marked a key milestone on the delivery of much needed homes.

The development will see 34 homes for London Affordable Rent, with eight being offered for Shared Ownership, all built on a previously unused brownfield site. It forms part of the first phase of the larger Stratford Mill scheme being delivered by Greystar, which will see these 42 affordable homes join a wider project of 247 homes and commercial space.

The SNG managed homes will offer access to outdoor space and align with our Homes and Place Standard, ensuring the highest quality of living for future residents. Customers will have excellent access to green spaces, such as the nearby Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, along with great transport links via Pudding Mill Lane and Stratford stations, including the Elizabeth Line.

The first SNG customers are expected to move into their new homes in 2026.
